**Tragic Incident: 13-Year-Old Boy Commits Suicide in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh**

A 13-year-old boy tragically took his own life on Saturday following a scolding from his father in the Deoband area of Uttar Pradesh, according to local police.

Superintendent of Police (Rural), Sagar Jain, identified the boy as Umar, a Class-5 student and son of Shamsher, a grocery shop owner in the Sarai Peerzadagaan neighborhood. The incident occurred when Shamsher asked Umar to bring some items for the shop. Upon Umar’s refusal, Shamsher reprimanded him, which distressed the young boy.

In his distress, Umar went to the kitchen on the upper floor of their home and hanged himself with a scarf from a grill above the door. The family discovered the tragic incident shortly afterward.

Authorities were notified and promptly arrived at the scene. After completing the necessary formalities, the boy’s body was handed over to his family, police reported.
