The ongoing Russia-Ukraine war shows no signs of ending soon, with daily reports of devastation emerging from the battlefield. The conflict has now encroached on residential areas, impacting ordinary citizens. A recent video has surfaced, capturing footage of a Ukrainian drone striking a residential building in Saratov. The attack bears a chilling resemblance to the way planes collided with the World Trade Centre during the 9/11 attacks.
The Russian regional health ministry reported that four people were injured following a drone attack on the Russian city of Saratov, including one woman who was hospitalized in serious condition. “One woman was hospitalized in serious condition in one of the medical institutions of the city of Saratov. Three injured persons received assistance on the spot,” the ministry confirmed.
Several social media platforms shared a video showing the aftermath of the drone strike on a high-rise apartment building in Saratov. The attack caused significant damage and disrupted air travel in the region.
Temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were introduced at the Saratov international airport “Gagarin” following the drone attack, according to the airport’s press service.
Earlier, Saratov Region Governor Roman Busargin stated that debris from destroyed drones had hit residential buildings in Saratov and neighboring Engels. He added that one woman was hospitalized in serious condition.
The 9/11 attacks occurred on September 11, 2001, when the World Trade Centre in Lower Manhattan, New York City, was destroyed in a devastating terrorist attack. These were four coordinated Islamist terrorist suicide attacks carried out by al-Qaeda against the United States.
