Today we are going to make a delicious gluten- free almond cake ! This recipe is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth as it contains no refined flour .Made with just a few simple ingredients, it’s a delightfully moist and flavourful dessert that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
*For the Cake:*
– 2 1/2 cups almond flour
– 4 large eggs (if 4 small eggs -1 1/2 cups of almond flour)
– 1/4 to 1 cup powdered sugar (adjust to desired sweetness)
– 1 tsp orange essence, extract, juice or zest (or lemon)
– Pinch of salt
**For Dusting:**
– 1/4 cup powdered sugar
# Preparation Steps
1. Make the Batter
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the powdered sugar and your choice of orange/lemon essence, extract, juice or zest until light and fluffy. Gently fold in the almond flour and salt until just combined.
2. Bake the Cake
Grease an 8-inch cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper. Pour in the batter and smooth the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
3. Dust with Powdered Sugar
Allow the cake to cool completely, then dust the top generously with powdered sugar.
#Recipe Tips
1. You can adjust the amount of powdered sugar from 1/4 cup to 1 cup according to your desired sweetness level.
2. Feel free to experiment with flavours by adding orange or lemon essence, extract, juice, or zest to enhance the taste.
3. The size of egg will make a huge difference in the quantity of almond flour to be used. Here I used large 4 eggs for 2 ½ cups of almond flour .If you are taking small 4 eggs you need to add 1 ½ cups of almond flour for the same recipe.
##This gluten-free almond cake is incredibly moist, with a delightful citrusy aroma and a tender, nutty crumb. Enjoy a slice with your favourite cup of tea or coffee for a truly indulgent treat!
